Clean the beef, Cook the beef in a pressure cooker with salt, pepper powder, curry masala, and a little water just enough to cover the meat. Pressure cook for 2 whistles and then remove the cooker from the flame.
Allow it to rest until the pressure goes off. Keep aside. Heat oil in a saucepan and splutter mustard seeds, add curry leaves, sliced shallots, green chilies, and a little salt. Saute until the onions turn transparent.
Add ginger garlic paste, saute for a minute. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala, and mix well. cook it in low flame.
Remove the lid from the pressure cooker and transfer the cooked beef, mix well with the masala and cook on a medium flame until the gravy dries out.
Stir the gravy occasionally while cooking, to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Meanwhile, heat a little oil in another pan and fry the coconut bites. As it starts to brown, add curry leaves and fry it along with the coconut bites until browned.
Keep aside. Once the beef is ready and complete dry, add the fried curry leaves and coconut bites, and mix well together. Leave until the meat is brown -black in color and dried out completely. Serve your kerala beef roast hot.
Take a mixer jar and add shallots , roughly chopped onions ,ginger , garlic cloves , coriander powder , red chilli powder, turmeric , fennel seeds, cumin seeds, pepper powder or pepper corns, garam masala. Now add little water and grind into fine paste.
Take a pressure cooker, add coconut oil, add coconut slices and fry until it turns into light golden brown color, remove and keep aside . In the same hot oil , add mustard seed , let it splutter. Add the ground masala paste, saute the masala in low flame for 10 mins.
Saute it until the oil separates from the masala. Once oil oozes out , add fried coconut slices then give a quick mix . Add beef pieces into the masala paste and add required water for the beef curry. Check for seasoning and salt to taste.
Now close the pressure cooker, cook it for about 30 in low flame or 6- 7 whistles. Once it’s done, wait for the pressure to go out and open it, garnish it with some curry leaves. Serve hot with white rice, paratha or chapati.
Transfer the cleaned beef meat to a bowl, marinate the beef with chilli powder, turmeric powder, soy sauce, corn flour, red food colour, & salt. Leave it aside for 30 mins.
Heat oil in a saucepan. Add the Mustard seeds, wait to let it splutter then add shallots and saute until golden brown & translucent. Add the green chilies, garlic, & ginger and saute until the raw smell goes away.
Now add the marinated meat and add little water, give a quick mix. Cook on low flame, stir it occasionally to avoid sticking.
Add more oil if needed. Roast and Fry until the beef is cooked well and it changes into a brown color. Add the crushed red chilli flakes and curry leaves. Cook for another 5 mins. Kerala style chilli beef is ready. Serve hot with steamed rice or parotta.
